Have you noticed how your dog goes wild when ever you cook fish? Did you know that fish is a great source of protein for him? A homemade sweet potato and fish dish not only is a wonderful treat for you dog, but a very healthy one.

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Step 2

Peel the sweet potato and cut it into cubes. Place the cubes into a pan of unsalted water and boil for 12 minutes. Check if they are ready by putting a knife through one of the cubes. If it comes out clean, they are done.

Step 3

Line the baking pan with tin foil and place the two pieces of cod on top.

Step 4

Drain the sweet potatoes in a sieve and place them carefully around the two pieces of cod.

Step 5

Pour 4 tbsp of sunflower oil on top.

Step 6

Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35 minutes.

Step 7

Put it to one side for another 30 minutes. Once it has cooled down sprinkle on the chopped parsley and sesame seeds.

Warnings

Make sure there are no bones left in the fish fillets before you let your dog eat them.
